Welcome to Horse Care and More. My name is Paula Ivie and I am an professional horse lover and owner. I am skilled in exercising horses, whether it be on the lunge line or riding. I ride both english and western. I am located in Crescent City, Ca serving Hiouchi, Gasquet, Smith River, Fort Dick and Crescent City areas.

I understand the dilemma that most horse owners face when considering the ultimate care for their horses, whether going on a trip or just having a busy work schedule. I will come to you, providing peace of mind whether your trip consists of days or weeks or your work schedule is not allowing you time to exercise your horse. By following your horse(s) exact routine in their familiar, secure environment, I will not only reduce their stress while you are absent, but also allow you to be worry free.

Too busy or just don't have the time and energy to get the barn chores done? Do you just wish you had more time to spend with the horses and not just cleaning the stalls? Just need someone to lend a hand with the chores on occassion? How can I help? Choose the services you need and frequency  to help free up your time and keep your barn chores to a minimum. I can keep your barn running smoothly so all you have to do is enjoy the time NOT cleaning the stalls! Help is just a phone call away.

 

Feeding/watering/haying of horses/livestock
Mixing/soaking of grains/supplements
Hoof picking
Light grooming/brushing
Turn out/in of horses
Clean stalls
Paddock cleaning
Exercising horses
Any other specialized services or chores requested

Feel confident in leaving your horse in the care of someone who can:

  • Recognize early signs of illness, disease and lameness.
  • Give injections and medications
  • Provide first aid, including bandaging and wound treatments


    All Services require an initial "meet and greet" to meet you and your horse(s).  This visit is at no charge. This visit is not required for existing clients.  Existing clients may call or e-mail me with dates for service requests.


RATES
$15/hour

Please be sure to schedule adequate time to complete all tasks required. If additional time is needed and not scheduled, it will be added and billed at the rate of $8.00 per half hour. I will do my best to get all tasks done in the allotted time to avoid this from happening.

Payment in full is expected at the start of services unless other payment  arrangements are discussed and agreed upon. Depending on the distance traveled, variable rates may be charged.

Full refund will be given for cancellations 7 days in advance. 50% refund will be given for cancellations 1-6 days in advance. A credit may be granted in emergency situations.
